Vol. 2270: The "Damnit... I'm tired!" Edition

Post by Dark Sol on Mon Jun 12, 2017 10:20 am

My dog had one of her seizure episodes last night which means I had a rough sleep night. Between keeping up with her at various parts of the night and the little dog thinking he should then run around the house. (They're normally in our room at night. I let her wander the house until she's over her episode. Little dog usually stays under the covers but he was also restless last night and thus would try to go run around the house which he is not allowed because he pees on things lol)

I'm blaming this damn stupid ass August style heat in June. Damnit, Donald!

That sucks. So does this little heat wave. I actually had to bust out the window AC unit for last night (I dont have AC, but it's a garden level apt, so it usually stays cool). My apt had actually gotten up to 78 degrees. I don't think that happened once at all last summer.

Our bedroom does not cool off well. It's terribly annoying, really. Bad vent locations in the room. If I were any kind of handy I'd fix it some how. But I'm not lol

So status update on my quest to get a dog (Fluffy from last week's post).

I met Fluffy last week, really liked the dog and it's temperament, and decided to go on my half day Friday to adopt. Well Fluffy developed Kennel cough, and was sent back to the medical facility before I got there Friday. So I gave them my number since I wanted to adopt that day.

They called me with an opportunity to foster Fluffy while taking medication. I filled out the application, spoke and emailed with the foster coordinator. It sounds like it may be an option, but I've now got a problem, because Foster dogs can't leave the state, and I'm heading to Indiana on Friday for a concert and staying Saturday for an early Father's day....

so the saga continues. I can probably find a sitter for what boils down to about 24-30 hours, but they haven't informed me if that's ok with a foster dog yet.

Ohh that stinks. I hope it works out one way or another. I'd assume they'd be ok with dog sitting, or something along those lines. The only thing I can think of is they may be iffy of it being someone new after him so new in a different setting. But I don't know how they run things. Each place is so different.

That new person immediately after a new environment thing is the only potential problem I can see. They might be ok with it though. I feel like I should ask my neighbor tonight just to be on the safe side.
